This page is a search engine tool for Great Barrier Reef metadata and other information such as data and reports. Information from the Data tool can be downloaded (where source providers allow it), exported or printed. Search terms can be refined using options on the side menu. Spatial data found using this tool can also be viewed (where spatial information is available and is compatible with Australian information standards).

This tool is still in development and will evolve over time.

This page contains a collection of dashboards. A dashboard is a visual tool that provides an ‘at-a-glance’ view of a dataset. A dashboard is usually made up of a collection of graphs, maps or text that helps users monitor, measure, or analyse data and insights.

Reef Knowledge System dashboards cover a range of topics, from tourism to scientific monitoring programs.

This page contains a collection of interactive maps of the Great Barrier Reef from various sources, including the Reef Authority.

The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority acknowledges the expertise, wisdom, and enduring connections that have informed the guardianship of the Reef for millennia. We pay our respects to the Traditional Owners as the first managers of this land and sea, and value their traditional knowledge which continues to inform the current management and stewardship of the Reef for future generations.
