Integrated Marine Observing System (IMOS)
Scales
Reef-wide
Systematic and sustained observing of Australia’s marine environments, across scales (from open ocean, onto the continental shelf, and into the coast), and across disciplines (physics, biogeochemistry, and biology and ecosystems). Examples of IMOS Facilities include ocean gliders, satellite remote sensing, coastal wave buoys, deep water moorings and autonomous underwater vehicles.
